Saucy number plates for sale
DRIVERS can now get their hands on Britain’s rudest car number plate — “PEN15” — for a whopping £95,000.
It’s up for grabs alongside “BO11LOX”, which comes with a £22,650 price tag attached.
And if you fancy an “ORG45M” that will set you back an eye-watering £135,000.
Even the innocent-looking “lusted” — LUS 73D — costs £13,650.
The cheeky plates are being flogged by RegTransfers.co.uk, who insist they’re all perfectly legal.
A spokesman said: “The reaction from the public and from passers-by who see the plate PEN15 has been one of surprised amusement. This is a genuine registration number. It was not contrived for effect, but is simply a chance permutation of characters.”
Other cheeky number plates registered in the UK include words like “frisky” — FR51 SKY — and “Miss Sexy” — M155 SXY.
The DVLA has previously banned plates that could potentially cause offence. Last June Alan Clark, of Chesterfield, Derbys, was ordered to change the registration on his Land Rover because it was “BO11LUX”.
Words relating to crime have also been banned in the past, including MU12DER and PE12ADO.
