At Pro plates we sell only high quality plates, If your looking for cheap number plates you have come to the wrong place!

We will do this for you but be advised, the plates will be supplied to you strictly for off-road/show use only. When placing an order you can leave a note on the checkout notes for your custom spacing in mm, if you would like to see a proof of the design to approval before manufacturing your plates please request this also.

This will be sent via email so add proplates.co.uk to your contact list to avoid potentially going into your spam folder.

If you don't see a badge, background image to your needs we will be more than happy to receive your very own design and add it to your plates. You can do this by getting in contact with the sales team or sending the image by email. If you would like to preview your own badge we are happy to add it to our plate builder. Please supply your image to us in one of the following formats : png / gif / jpg / pdf / ai / eps. Please ensure that your artwork/image is the best quality available so it prints as expected. 

Number plates are a bespoke item and are made especially for you and nobody else. Pro Plates try to ensure that we keep our customers happy with quick delivery times, Because of this it is not possible to cancel or amend an order which has been manufactured. Please ensure that all details are correct before placing the order.

If you are unable to select certain elements on our plate builder like badges, fonts, backgrounds and slogan images this is probably because you are using an older internet browser that does not support the latest JS (javascript) standard, Internet Explorer (IE) being one of these. We suggest you use our Number plate builder with the latest web browsers like Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.

We manufacture the very best number plates on the market, we can do this as we have the very highest quality printers for the job (we are part of a large print group), The colour you choose is the colour you receive on your custom plates, blue, red, green even white !.

The plate builder is a computer generated image to give you a general idea how your number plates will look once manufactured, The actual plates will be much sharper image quality and in the correct format, For example our backgrounds we offer are much better in real life then displayed on the plate builder where they can look a little pixelated depending on what device you are using. 

A show plate is a custom plate that is used for show, track or display use, just like you see in new car showrooms. With the rise of social media people like to post pictures online and hide the VRM, a show plate with your custom design is the perfect product for this. 

Honeycomb number plate background was road legal until October 2001, Number plates made with a background after this date may fail a MOT and not suitable for UK roads according to BSAU standards, apparently speed and red light camera's cant read them correctly!. 

The plate builder is just a preview to help aid the design process and give you an idea of how your number plates would look, The Rear Yellow reflective on the actual plates received will be as you would expect them to be.

Our stick-on number plates are road legal just like our number plates when designed to DVLA standards.

The email you will receive from us outlining the order will show the registration in the case you entered it, but the actual plates received will be in Uppercase characters as shown on the plate preview and how you would expect on a number plate for your car.

If you don't require a slogan on your show plates or number plates then there is a button to remove it on the slogan tab, If this is missed and the default is showing on your email not to worry as we remove this from all orders.

Yes Gel resin number plates are road legal as long as you select the correct legal fonts, We now add your registration printed behind the acrylic & gel characters in standard font to meet BSAU standards.

Applying a tint to a number plate is not road legal in the UK, Tinted number plates are show plates for show use. 

No we do not offer this service as different vehicles have their very own screw/mounting holes. We always recommend that you use the sticky pads so you do not potentially damage your plates when drilling, We supply a large range of accessories including fitting kits.

Our plate will bend to a slight contour like on the new BMW's, when fitting the plate to a curved surface please dont pre-bend the plate as this can damage them, Fit the plate at one end and then gently press the plate and fix at the other end. 

Yes our number plate self adhesive pads can hold the plates in place without the need to drill them, When fitting please make sure the area is clean and dry.

As every car has different mounting locations we are unable to manufacture and drill the holes for fitting. The best way is to either use our sticky pads for drill free application or use the old plates as a template drilling from the back towards the front of the plate.

We aim to dispatch your plates the same day the order is placed. You can expect to receive your plates in 2 - 3 working days or quicker depending on the postal service chosen.

All plates will come with rounded corners, the plate builder rendering may show square edges depending on your device and browser.
