After having paid roughly £460,000 for the plate in ‘08, the registration number plate is thought to be worth over £10 million now. It was said that Afzal has turned down a number of multi-million pound bids so far.

“The number plate was first listed in 1904 by Essex County Council and clearly bears the shortening of Formula One.”

The correct number plate really enhances the car claims Afzal: “I consider number plates to be a better venture that, and from a business viewpoint the ceiling is only made of glass. UK Number plates will always be seen as a bizarre investment, but they are a better venture than gold and property nowadays.

“I have been at the front of two economic downturns and all of it tends to drop except for number plates, they are only ever distributed by the DVLA once and you only get one of a kind.”
